Certainly every country club is different and every person's emotional attachment to that country club is different but in many cases those fears of being common place have not panned out to be true in regards to a wedding planned with us at Ashley Douglass Events. The county club's event coordinator really plays a large role in the planning experience. I have found that this ingredient plays more into the experience here than with other types of venues. In some cases the point person at the club has been with the club for years and years and years, and in many cases this is what you want. They know you, they welcome the other new side of the family, they work with us well and all around, you will feel like you are at home at your wedding!

Many people complain that their county club's space is uncreative, plain, old school or what have you but I promise you we will make it work and you will see the place in a whole new light!

In the case of this wedding from November, it was to be a very simply elegant day, so it didn't take much to make the room look alive and elegant. I go right to lighting when I think elegant and romantic. The chandeliers up above needed to be accented, the flowers with pin spots needed to be in place, and the sheer amount of clean white flowers made the eye go towards what's most beautiful and also brought out those large chandeliers like I had hoped.

The Greenwich County Club is about the nicest country club we have ever worked at. I adore their staff and the club knows their entire family so well, you could not imagine them being any more comfortable, even if they hosted the wedding at their own home. The country club is their home and the staff were so helpful and eager to be teammates, we could not have asked for a better wedding venue and staff. They allowed us to move around large to small knick knacks not needed for the camera, bring in different chairs, get in some photos on the 9th hole when it wasn't really allowed ;-), etc.

Having someone with a ton of experience evaluate the wedding venues you are considering can be most helpful. We will for certain see things that you won't see, ask questions that you won't think to ask, etc. While it's all in the imagination, it's also in the experience.
